Last week I wrote about The Age of Innocence on the page and onscreen. As I mentioned, I hadn’t read the book when I started Martin Scorsese’s adaptation the first time through. I’d never finished anything by Edith Wharton. I was drawn to the film by its star, Daniel Day-Lewis, an actor I take great pleasure in watching.
